Florida Keys Fishing Report

June - 2010
We have been pretty busy out on the water and so I have neglected the website for a while!  That said Mahi Mahi season has been
pretty spectacular! Don't miss out on this fun, action packed not to mention great to eat, Mahi fishing season!  Give us a call and we'll get you on the water  catching fish!  Toll Free 866-431-2277

April - 2010

There has been a little wind to contend with,  but we have taken some very successful catches this week.  Saturday's crew did a awsome job reeling in the dolphin.  We landed 2 larger cows and half a dozen schoolies.  The yellowtail fishing is also still a great option and should just get better and better into May. Anchoring up for rocky botton mangrove & mutton snappers has been pretty good.  Looking forward to grouper opening again soon in May.

February - 2010

Happy belated New Year!  Having braved the unusually cold January here in the Florida Keys, we are now about back on track with spirits high for an amazing remainder of the winter season!  The cold temps, while a little uncomfortable for anglers, really did not adversely affect successful catches offshore.  The bait patches have held strong and the sailfish bite on the reefs' edge has remained very good. We are catching lots of Yellowtail Snapper inside the reef and also Blackfin Tuna toward the hump.

December - 2009

We have found the Sailfishing to be pretty hot this week and the recent cold front should only provide another great week for tracking down these awsome pelagics.  "Sight Fishing" this time of year can be super fast paced and exciting!... As we are geared up and ready for several different species on any given day.  It's gonna be another great holiday season on the water!...Don't miss out! Give us a call!

November - 2009

Made it out this weekend to try our hand trolling for grouper and landed a few large ones!  We also had some success on patch reefs, catching a few really nice size snapper.  The winds have subsided a bit and the weather couldn't be better...also pelagic migration has begun! Sailfishing will just get better and better, we also expect to start seeing more wahoo and the occasional mahi mahi...come on down and get yourself on the water! Call us for seasonal specials! Hope to hear from you soon!

July - 2009

The summer fishing season is still going strong with most mahi mahi being taken a ways offshore. On the humps we've found the tuna bite to be good as well. When the weather is right the yellowtail snapper are also abundant.

June - 2009

Offshore the Dolphin season is phenomenal! Catching a dozen or more of these feisty fighters sure makes for an exciting day. Bulls are being caught in the 40-50 lb range.  We've also been catching quite a few Blackfin Tuna offshore.
On the reef the Yellowtail Snapper are in a feeding frenzy and limits are being taken fairly easily. At 10 per person, you'll be sure to bring home a freezer full!

May 7, 2009 - Monthly Recap

The abundance of baitfish and lingering cool water- thanks to a few spring cold fronts, have kept the sailfish bite going strong again.  Yesterday our captain and crew focused on the dolphin, catching 20 in 7.5 feet of water at the hump.  The largest weighing in at 20lbs. and an average of 10 pounders.  They also fished a wreck landing a Sail and followed up with some nice yellowtail.
